This game also doesn't even pretend to place importance on the story, whereas Virgin Roster is done in the ren'ai style of games where the story is central. Virgin Roster doesn't get the flack this game does, and yet the protagonist in that title is even more of a monster. This site may be called "honestgamers", and I suppose the staff review is his honest opinion of the game, but the rating is absolute bollocks. It's like asking a male mysogynic gay chauvinist to write about fem lib: if you think you're going to get the objective truth, I have some beachfront property to sell you. If you aren't a perv familiar with Illusion's games, you don't have any business reviewing their games. It's like asking a male mysogynic gay chauvinist to write about fem lib: if you think you're going to get the objective truth, I have some beachfront property to sell you." I've only just started using it and I think it's helping."If you aren't a perv familiar with Illusion's games, you don't have any business reviewing their games. I think the format of "Game Name #X - Subtitle" is a good one. As long as you have Let's Play in the description and tags then it needn't be in the title. It takes up far too much space and the rest of your title will run off the screen, especially in the "related videos" box. Adding "Let's Play" in a title is pretty redundant also because people will assume a video of a game is a Let's Play unless is specifically says "Walkthrough", "Review" or "Trailer", as LPs are most gaming content on YouTube. Until you're big enough, not many people will be searching for it, and even if it's not in the title YouTube will link your channel name to the search terms anyway. I think adding your brand in the title is a waste. My old titles used to be something like "FORCED - Part 8 - Naked Foursome", but now I have titles such as "Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor #18 - Troll Slayer". I then add a subtitle, which is just flavour text that might make people a little more interested in the video. I'm not sure what reels in more clicks, but I tend to use "#1" nowadays because it uses less space. People will probably search for the game title more, so put that first. YouTube ranks what comes first in the title as most important in terms of search terms. Hope it helped a little, in any case I wish you good luck on your journey. So I guess it's all up to the person themselves and what they feel most natural with and in my case, this is what I like to go with the keeps me creative, since I like to write short stories :) I then thereby went with naming the video Trinity Plays: The Legend of Korra - The Hero and The Titan. Once I was going to upload I kept thinking that since I make these like episodes of a series, then why not go with titles of episodes you see in chapters of books or tv shows. The intense moment of the player/main character and the enemy which had the upper hand with more damage than I and me with more moveset, with little to no was somewhat interesting and releaving when I finally won at the end. Then I had to go back a whole bunch before arriving at the part again. Since in it was a giant battle of me on the edge of my chair, clinging to the last life I had against the opponents last bit of life, with the knowing that if I died. The thing I do is to think what would be an interesting title, so in case of the Korra vids.let's take the latest one. What are some of the title formatting and thought processes you fellas and gals use? Factorio - S1E1 - Iron, Copper, and Coal Oh My!.So a more detailed ending title to get more clicks.Īlso would most users understand S1E1 easily enough? Or would that be Jargon to some folks? It would only be useful in a Let's Play that you plan to do at least 12 episodes or more of? Factorio - Episode 1 - Iron, Copper, and Coal Oh My!.Maybe it would even put people off to see the first word of the title with some garbage that most wouldn't care about, i.e. Now this seems to wordy, so I've been wondering what are the benefits of branding the title? I do believe a simple Title of Game - Episode # isn't appealing either so a thoughtful description of the video itself is helpful to get more clicks? Since my brand wouldn't be recognizable in random searches by folks, it doesn't help to put that name in the title at this point. SynPlay - Factorio - Episode 1 - Getting Started

With no other information or details, you could see 100 videos with the exact same titles in a search for a particular game with that structure.īrand - Title of Game - Episode/First Impression 1 - Basic SubTitle Title of Game - 1 or Title of Game - Ep1.So I'm working to get my 200-300 videos more consistent with titles and wanted to have a discussion about what makes a good title.
